Surf Lessons FAQ – Everything You Need to Know Before Surfing in Nusa Lembongan

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we accept all major credit cards. A small bank processing fee may apply.

What surf levels do you offer?

We welcome everyone – from total beginners to intermediate surfers. Different levels are grouped separately with appropriate instructors, but we often surf in the same area.

How much does a surf lesson cost?

– Private: IDR 900,000 (1-on-1)
– Semi-private: IDR 650,000 per person (2 students, 1 coach)
– Group: IDR 450,000 per person (3 students, 1 coach)

What time are surf lessons?

Surf times depend on tides and swell. We confirm your session the day before – just stay in touch via WhatsApp or your preferred method.

Where do the surf lessons take place?

Most sessions take place at Lacerations, a reef break near Jungutbatu. The exact spot is chosen based on conditions that day.

Is it safe to surf over a reef?

Yes! We surf only during safe tide levels and provide reef booties, land briefings, and in-water coaching to make sure you feel confident and protected.

What is included in a surf lesson?

Surfboard, rash guard, reef booties, long pants, zinc face cream, and action photos – plus theory/safety briefing under shaded areas near the beach.

How long is each surf session?

Each session lasts approximately 2.5 hours from the meeting time.

Do you provide transportation?

Yes! Free scooter pickup and drop-off is available across the Nusa Lembongan area.

What kind of boards do you have?

We offer soft- and hard-top boards from 5’ to 10’. Let us know if you’d like to try a specific board type.

What are the usual wave sizes?

Most days, the waves are hip- to chest-high – ideal for learning and progressing comfortably.

What’s the best time of year to surf in Lembongan?

Lembongan is a year-round surf destination. January and February may have some stronger west winds in the afternoon, but surfing is still possible and often great in the mornings.

Does rain or bad weather affect surfing?

No problem at all! We still surf in light rain – you’re getting wet anyway! Rain is usually brief, and Lembongan tends to be drier than mainland Bali.
